Pacific Power Management, LLC, announced today that they have completed the design and installation of a 45 kW solar electric system for Mid-Pacific Industries in Woodland, CA. The more than $400,000 dollar project qualifies for a $112,313 solar rebate from Pacific Gas and Electric Company.
The solar electric system, designed and installed by Pacific Power Management, is expected to generate more than 70,000 kilowatt hours annually, enough to power approximately 11 average homes. The system also provides 100% of the trucking company’s needs.
The solar system has the potential to offset approximately 800 tons of greenhouse gas emissions over the next 25 years. That’s equivalent to taking about 100 cars off the road for the same amount of time. It also enables Mid-Pacific to help reduce peak electricity demands on California’s power grid.
At Pacific Power Management, we pride ourselves on providing first-class service and complete project management, said Mark Frederick, a partner in Pacific Power Management. “We analyze the energy needs, install equipment to improve the energy efficiency and design and install photovoltaic systems to generate electricity. Mid Pacific’s needs did not consist of covering the entire roof, so we gave them only what they needed.”
The $112,313 dollar rebate presented to Mid-Pacific Industries today comes from Pacific Gas and Electric Company’s self-generation incentive program, a program designed primarily for business-sized systems, which help to meet some, or all, of a facilitys power needs.

PG&E’s self-generation incentive program is part of the company’s broader commitment to renewable energy. PG&E is a national leader in supplying its customers with clean renewable energy. More than fifty percent of the energy it provides comes from emission-free sources such as solar, hydroelectric, wind, geothermal, biomass and waste. As an industry leader in solar power integration, the company has interconnected 14,000 solar customers – more than any other utility in the country. PG&E has also provided $190 million dollars in rebates towards 400 eligible solar generation incentive projects since the program’s inception in June 2002.
